The Real Choice

Most straightforward cases do not need a lawyer. They need the packet done correctly.

The hard part is not downloading USCIS forms. It is knowing the packet is complete, consistent, signed, organized, and backed by the right evidence before USCIS sees it.

DIY looks cheap until you are the one responsible for every missing signature, date mismatch, and weak evidence item.

The USCIS forms are free to download. What they don't tell you: the forms cross-reference each other, signatures are easy to miss, evidence has to support the story, and the filing order matters. One small packet issue can turn into weeks or months of rework.

Most DIY filers do not know what they missed until USCIS sends something back.

Common outcomes:

  • · Requests for evidence due to incomplete or weak packages
  • · Weeks wondering whether a page, signature, or document is missing
  • · Refilings that cost more than professional help would have

Immigration lawyers are essential — but $5,000+ is a lot for paperwork.

If your case is complex — criminal history, prior denials, removal proceedings, or messy immigration history — an attorney is absolutely the right choice. Don't skip that.

But most couples with straightforward cases spend thousands of dollars for a process that still involves collecting documents, filling out forms, and answering the same questions. You pay for their license. But you also pay for the infrastructure, the paralegal, and the overhead.

The reality:

  • · Average attorney fee: $5,000+ for a standard case
  • · You still do most of the document gathering yourself
  • · Overkill for cases that are straightforward paperwork

Greenbroad prepares and checks your complete green card packet for $749 flat.

You answer our guided questions. We prepare every form, build your evidence checklist, organize the packet, check it for missing pages, signature spots, date conflicts, evidence gaps, and filing-order issues, then print, assemble, and ship it to your door.

Before you pay anything, we do a free case check to make sure Greenbroad is actually the right fit. If your case looks complex, we'll tell you directly and refer you to an attorney. We only take cases we're confident we can prepare correctly.

What you get:

  • Forms prepared and cross-checked for consistency
  • Evidence checklist and filing order built around your case
  • Printed, assembled, and shipped ready to sign
  • $749 flat — full refund if we make a filing error
U.S. permanent resident green card and passport — the goal

Why it matters

USCIS will not fix your packet for you.

USCIS processes thousands of applications a day. They don't give you a call to let you know something is wrong. They send a rejection notice in the mail, weeks or months after you filed — and you start over.

A missing form, an inconsistency in dates, an insufficient evidence package — any of these can trigger a Request for Evidence (RFE) or an outright rejection. That is why the packet needs to be checked before it leaves your hands.

Common filing mistakes that cause RFEs:

  • Inconsistent dates across forms
  • Missing joint financial evidence
  • Incorrectly filed forms in the wrong sequence
  • Unsigned forms or missing pages
  • I-864 not meeting minimum income requirements

Greenbroad checks before it ships:

  • Date and name inconsistencies across all forms
  • Missing evidence from your personalized checklist
  • Form organization and USCIS filing order
  • Cover letter completeness and accuracy

How It Works

From scattered paperwork to a ready-to-file package.

Here's exactly what happens from the moment you reach out to the moment your package ships.

01

Free case check (usually 15–20 minutes)

15–20 min · Free

Tell us about your situation. We'll ask about your marriage, your immigration history, and your partner's status. This isn't a sales call — it's a real assessment. If your case is straightforward, we'll confirm Greenbroad is a good fit and explain next steps. If we see complications (criminal history, prior denials, unusual immigration history), we'll tell you directly and refer you to an attorney before you pay anything.

  • We ask the questions that matter for your specific case
  • Honest answer: good fit or refer you to an attorney
  • No pressure, no payment required
02

Guided intake: we tell you exactly what we need

1–2 evenings · At your own pace

After the case check, we send you a guided questionnaire and a personalized document checklist. The checklist is built around your specific case — not a generic list. You upload your documents through a secure link. Most couples complete the intake in 1–2 evenings. If you have questions while filling it out, you can reach us directly.

  • Personalized checklist, not a generic list
  • Secure document upload
  • Questions? We're reachable directly
03

We prepare, organize, and check your complete packet

48 hours · After complete docs received

This is the core of what Greenbroad does. We prepare all six forms, organize your evidence in the sequence USCIS expects, write your cover letters, and check the packet before it is finalized. We look for date inconsistencies, missing signatures, missing pages, incomplete evidence, and organizational issues that commonly cause rework. Most packets are checked within 48 hours of receiving your complete documents.

  • All 6 forms prepared: I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131, I-864, G-1145
  • Evidence organized in USCIS-expected sequence
  • Packet check within 48 hours of complete docs
04

We ship it. You sign and mail to USCIS.

Ships within 24 hrs of final check

Your completed package is printed, tabbed, assembled, and shipped to your door. Everything is in order — you don't need to reorganize anything. Review the package, sign where indicated (we mark every signature line clearly), and mail it to the appropriate USCIS lockbox. We provide the mailing instructions. After that, USCIS takes over — and we're still here if questions come up.

  • Pre-assembled and pre-organized
  • Every signature line clearly marked
  • Mailing instructions included

FAQ

Consular Processing Questions

Everything you need to know about bringing your spouse from abroad

What is Consular Processing?
Consular Processing is the path for bringing your spouse to the U.S. when they're currently living abroad. Instead of adjusting status inside the U.S. (Form I-485), your spouse will attend an interview at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate in their home country and receive an immigrant visa to enter the U.S. as a Permanent Resident.
What forms are involved in Consular Processing?
We prepare Form I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative) and I-864 (Affidavit of Support) for the USCIS stage. Once approved, your case moves to the National Visa Center (NVC), where we help with Form DS-260 (Immigrant Visa Application) and supporting documents for the embassy interview.
How long does Consular Processing take?
The typical timeline is 12-16 months total. This includes 4-8 months for USCIS to process the I-130 petition, then 4-8 months for NVC processing and the embassy interview. Times vary by country and case complexity.
Can my spouse work while waiting?
Unlike Adjustment of Status (inside the U.S.), Consular Processing does not provide work authorization or travel documents during the process. Your spouse will receive their Green Card upon entry to the U.S. after the embassy interview, at which point they can work immediately.
What if my spouse lived in the U.S. before?
If your spouse previously lived in the U.S. and overstayed their visa or was deported, they may be subject to 3-year or 10-year bars from re-entry. This requires careful evaluation and potentially a waiver (Form I-601). We recommend speaking with us before proceeding to understand your options.
Is Greenbroad a law firm?
No, Greenbroad is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We are a document preparation service that helps you complete and organize your forms accurately. We recommend consulting with an immigration attorney for complex legal questions or unique circumstances.
What's your refund policy?
Simple: if you're not satisfied with our service, we refund the full fee. No questions asked. We can offer this because we only take cases we're confident we can prepare correctly — on the free intake call, if your case has complications we can't handle, we'll refer you to an immigration attorney before you pay.
